Robberson is a historic North Springfield neighborhood with roots in the early settlement of Greene County and the steady growth of the city’s north side. The neighborhood takes its name from the Robberson family, early pioneers whose legacy became part of the area’s local geography and history.

The Robberson name in North Springfield traces back to the Robberson family of early Greene County settlers, especially Elizabeth Robberson and her children, and more specifically to Edwin T.
